Youth stabbed over love triangle: two nabbed

Bhilai, Sep 26: A youth was stabbed by three others late evening on Saturday in Khursipar. The incidence was the outcome of a love triangle. Police conducted search operations overnight and managed to trap two of the attackers. The third accused is still at large. The victim is Prince Goda (25) of Khursipar. On September 24 around 20:00 hrs, he dropped his fiancé Komal at her home in Khursipar and was returning Charoda when a local Prashant alias Tony intercepted him and threatened him of not visiting the locality again. Next day on Sep 25, Prince again dropped Komal at her home and was heading towards Charoda when Prashant alias Tony, Kishan and Sanjay intercepted him and started abusing him. Tony asserted that Komal was his girlfriend. In the meanwhile, Kishan took out a knife and stabbed Prince on the chest. Tony too attacked him with a knife and inflicted injuries on hands and abdomen. The accused escaped in different directions after committing the crime. Locals rushed the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. Taking the case into serious cognizance, SSP Badri Narayan Meena directed the Khursipar Police to trace the attackers. Under the supervision of ASP (City) Sanjay Dhruw and CSP (Chhawani) Vishwas Chandrakar, Inspector Durgesh Sharma (SHO, Khursipar) constituted two teams led by SI Shishupal Singh and SI Satish Sahu for searching the accused. The teams raided all the places of the accused and in the meanwhile they received a tip off that two of them were fleeing towards Durg Bus Stand. Khursipar Police team immediately reached Durg and managed to trap the accused near District Hospital in Durg. Prashant alias Tony and Sanjay Kumar were arrested when they were trying to flee on a Honda Activa scooter. A buttoned knife was seized from Tony while chilli powder was recovered from Sanjay. The third accused Kishan is at large. A case has been lodged under section 294, 341, 307, 34 of IPC and Section 25, 27 of Arms Act. Inspector Durgesh Sharma, SI Satish Sahu, SI Shishupal Chandravanshi, Constable Rakesh Chaudhary, D Prakash, Deepak Singh, Subhash Yadav and Aman Sharma played a vital role in arresting the accused within a few hours of the crime.
