Water supply being monitored through automated Water Treatment Plant

Bhilai, Oct 10: Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure visited the water treatment plant along with Durg Municipal Commissioner Haresh Mandavi and officials of Water Department and Amrut Mission the other day.
DMC Commissioner displayed him the automation system installed here. He said that drinking water supply is being completely monitored through the automation system. 24 MLD and 11 MLD water treatment plants have been fully automated under Amrut Mission.
Now, drinking water supply system has been fully computerized in the city. Water level to tanks and the information about the supply of each ward will be received in the computer. The wastage and leakage of water in the distribution pipeline will also be detected.
The Collector expressed his happiness on witnessing the automated system. He also inspected the WTP. He directed to complete the construction of the high capacity tanks within the stipulated time frame. He said that the supply of pure drinking water is the foremost responsibility.
He asked the officials to maintain continuous monitoring. Wherever there is a complaint of low pressure or any other kind, the officials must fix it immediately. During the inspection, Executive Engineer MP Goswami, Nodal Officer of Amrut Mission RK Pandey, Assistant Nodal AR Rahagadale, Assistant Engineer RK Jain, Sub Engineer Rajendra Dhabale, Bhimrao, Water Inspector Narayan Thakur and officers of DMC were present.
