Traffic Police takes action against 121 riders for violations

Bhilai, Jul 10: Acting on the instructions given by Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal, Traffic Police took action against the riders involved in over speeding, stunt riding, modified bikes and other traffic violations.
The drive was conducted under the supervision o ASP (Traffic) Kavilash Tondon and DSP (Traffic) Gurjeet Singh. Action was taken against 121 bikers for using modified bikes / silencers, stunt biking, over speeding, riding with registration number, riding in drunken state, etc.
It needs to be mentioned here that after taking charge of the district, SP Prashant Agrawal had chaired a meeting of the Traffic Cops and had instructed them to take strict action against such drivers who cause road accidents and problems to common citizens.
In compliance with the orders, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) and all the zone in-charges of the traffic police conducted a special campaign in their respective zones in the last two days and took action against 23 riders for riding in inebriated state, 29 for modified/non-standard silencers, 11 for over speed and action was taken against 58 riders for moving without registration number.
Traffic Police appealed from the riders / drivers for not getting indulged in driving under the influence of alcohol. All the parents have been requested for not allowing their children to modify their vehicles and ride at high speed.
In case of violation, Traffic Police would seize the vehicles and fine will be imposed on them as per the provisions of New Motor Vehicle Act. People can inform Traffic Police about such type of vehicle on whatsapp number 9479192029.
