Steel Melting Shop 3 creates New Record of 62 Heats in a Day

Bhilai, Oct 14: SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Steel Melting Shop 3 has created a new production record of 62 heats in a day on October 13, 2021. With this the Modex unit has surpassed the previous best record of 60 heats in a day on September 24 and September 30, ’21.
The shift-wise break-up of production on October 13, 2021 has been 20 heats in A shift, 20 heats in B shift and 22 heats in C shift. The total crude steel production by SMS 3 from 62 heats on October 13, 2021 has been 10,647 Tonnes.
Director In-charge, Bhilai Steel Plant, Anirban Dasgupta, Executive Director (Works), Anjani Kumar, CGM I/c Services, SN Abidi and senior officers of the Plant visited Steel Melting Shop 3 on October 14, 2021 to personally congratulate the SMS 3 team and members of associated departments for achieving record level of production. Congratulating the team, Director In-charge urged them to maintain the tempo and keep up the excellent performance.
