SSSSMV Hudco organises Diwali special “Kalavithika”

Bhilai, Oct 15: The IQAC and Entrepreneurship Cell of Swami Shri Swaroopanand Saraswati Mahavidyalaya, HUDCO organised “Kalavithika” a special exhibition cum sale of Diwali items such as colourful diyas, greeting cards, colorful decorative flowers, pen holders made of jute, urns decorated with beautiful Bastar art, handmade jewelery made from block prints, and more than a dozen decorative items.

In-charge Dr Shivani Sharma gave information about the aim of organising the exhibition said that the students have immense potential for artistry and creativity which is hidden. Such programmes provide opportunity to develop their creative potential.

Principal Dr Hansa Shukla told that the students are showing more interest towards entrepreneurship, and they can use their interest, skill and intelligence for self-employment. Under the New Education Policy, the college provides a platform to the students for their skill development along with academic education so that the students can become successful entrepreneurs in future.

Head, Department of Management Khushboo Pathak said that from this event, students get a chance to estimate cost of product and profit possible, and also, along with their own employment they can also provide employment to others.

Manju Vora, Shrutika Tamrakar Yadav, Ritu Pal, Dr Monisha Sharma were present as chief guests. Manju Vora said that this effort of the college is exemplary which is preparing for earning along with studies. Shrutika Tamrakar Yadav said that she was overwhelmed to see the creative potential of the students. With such a platform, students can make their art a medium of self-employment along with education. Ritu Pal said that the creative potential of the students should get a platform at the state and national level apart from the college. While encouraging the students, Dr Monisha Sharma, Director, Shankaracharya Education Campus, HUDCO said that the purpose of organising ‘Kalavithika’ is to inspire the spirit of self-employment among the students. This develops the skills of the students, gets information about the cost, profit and loss, they can become good businessmen in future.
