Shri Ram Janmotsav Samiti seeks justice for Ruhi

Bhilai, Apr 30: Due to alleged negligence of Health Department and Durg District Hospital, two-month old child Ruhi succumbed in absence of medical treatment. Shri Ram Janmotsav Samiti has sought justice for this child. On the instructions of the Youth Wing President Manish Pandey, a delegation visited Durg Collectorate and submitted a memorandum to the Additional Collector. The delegation discussed the issue with the Collector on telephone and demanded free and fair probe as well as strict action against the responsible people. The delegation detailed the ADM about the negligence in the treatment on the part of District Hospital due to which the innocent baby lost her life. They informed that the family members took the baby to district hospital on April 26. After a long wait, the child was examined and the doctors informed that the baby was Covid Positive. The child was referred to Raipur Government Hospital on excuse of unavailability of ventilator. Critically ill child succumbed on the way to Raipur in absence of treatment. The bereaved family performed the last rites of the child after which they received a message in which the Test Report was stated to be Covid Negative. Further, the age of the child was mentioned 20-years. The delegation alleged that several such cases of such negligence have also come to light. They demanded strict action against the responsible people. Rashmi Singh, J Srinivas Rao, Dinesh Yadav, Rinku Sahu, Rohit Tiwari and others were present.
