Safety Week concludes in Machine Shop 2

Bhilai, Oct 16: Safety propagation week was celebrated in SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s MARS-2 (Machine Shop 2) from October 04 to 09, 2021. The safety week was inaugurated by Kalol Sen Sharma, GM (MARS-2). James George, DSO informed about programme schedule and also administered the safety oath. Several activities like firefighting demo, safety talk and training on various topics were conducted during the week. Civil defence training was also imparted to MARS-2 employees. Competitions like poster, slogan and quiz were conducted. Chief guest at the closing ceremony, PK Neogy, Acting CGM (Shops) emphasised about various safety aspects of MARS-2. He also stressed about the safety awareness among contract employees. Prizes to winners of competitions were given away at the function. The prize for best safety man was given to Ravindra Kumar Raul. Prize for best safety worker given to Sunil Kumar. Prizes for winners of first, second and third prizes of poster competition were given to Laxman Sahu, Kaushal Sahu and Khileshwar, respectively. Prizes for slogan competition were given to Avi Dubey, Reena Sahu and GR Takur. Vote of thanks was proposed by KK Patil. During the programme, Vinod Kumar Thakur, recited a poem.
Also Arun Thawkar gave a speech on safety.
