Rs 30 crore sanctioned for development of Bhilai

Bhilai, Mar 20: Bhilai Nagar MLA Devendra Yadav is constantly working to realize the goal of city’s development. He has been regularly sending proposals to the state government for various development works in Bhilai Nagar. For the benefit of citizens and development of the city, various projects have been approved by the Government of Chhattisgarh. On the initiative of MLA Devendra Yadav, CM Bhupesh Baghel has sanctioned a total amount of Rs 30 crore to Bhilai Municipal Corporation.
In the financial year 2020-21, the Finance Committee in its meeting held on February 17, 2021 had recommended to grant Rs 30 crore to Bhilai Municipal Corporation for development works under the infrastructure heads. Taking the matter into cognizance, CM Bhupesh Baghel gave approval and sanctioned a total of Rs 29,95,83,000 for 217 development works in various wards of BMC limits. MLA Devendra Yadav has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to CM Bhupesh Baghel and the Civic Bodies Minister and stated that the Congress Government of the state has been providing full support for the development of Bhilai. Devendra hoped that he will continue to receive blessings and support in future too.
Hudco sector will get facelift and development with an expenditure of crores of rupees. MLA Devendra Yadav has approved lakhs of rupees for the special purpose of development of Hudco. The most important work to be done here is the construction of Dome shed and development work at Ward 69 Dussehra Ground. Rs 1.48 crore will be spent on this work. Apart from this, beautification of various gardens at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs, construction of Dome shed at Kali Bari in Ward 70 Hudco at a cost of 12 lakhs; library near the Buddhist campus in Ward 69 will be constructed at a cost of Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh will be spent for the expansion near the Shri Ram campus.
In Ward 16 Kailash Nagar, Rs 49.50 lakh will be spent for construction of roads near Rajiv Gandhi Udyan to Ratan Sharma’s house and near the Bengali Kali Puja Samiti. Development work of Ward 27 Ghasidas Nagar Ground will be done at a cost of 38 lakhs. Also, Ward 38 Bombay Reshney Awas colony will be renovated at a cost of Rs 38 lakhs. Platform, shed and other construction work will be done in Leprosy Ashram Basti at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs.
The sewerage line of Zone 4 area will be repaired and maintained with an expenditure of Rs 1 crore. This will eliminate the drainage problem and water-logging of streets and houses during rainy season. Rs 98 lakhs will be spent to develop a sports ground at Ward 52 near Sector 4 Government School. Another sports ground will be developed in Ward 64 Sector 10 between Streets 5 and 6 at a cost of Rs 70 lakhs. Development work of Ward 65 Sector 7 Market Ground will be done at a cost of Rs 38 lakhs and a badminton court will also be built here.
In Vaishalinagar area, Rs 37.43 lakhs will be spent for roads, drains and electric poles at Vande Mataram, Gokul Nagar, Kurud Ward 16. Tar roads will be constructed in Kosnagar. Upgradation of Sports Complex of Ward 14 will be done with Rs 52 lakhs. Upgradation work of the playground of Ward 27 Ghasidas Nagar will be done with expenditure of Rs 38 lakhs. Rs 1.5 crore will be spent for construction of English Medium Smart School at Ward 30 of Zone 4 Khursipar.
Street Lighting will be arranged at Ward 35 New College Ground at a cost of Rs 68 lakhs. In Ward 28 Chhawani, Rs 47 lakhs will be spent for beautification of Shaheed Chumman Yadav Sarovar. Drains and Culvert construction in Khamharia Ward 1 will be done with expenditure of Rs 35.72 Lakh. Access roads, poles, street lights to be constructed in Khamharia ward 1 behind KEC at a cost of Rs 45.21 lakh.

Access roads, poles, street lights and drain in houses under Khamrihaya Ward 1 behind Surya Vihar Mall will be done at a cost of Rs 91.93 lakhs. Public facilities and construction work will be done in Ward 55 Sector 6 at a cost of Rs 14.24 lakhs. Third floor room construction and building repair will be done at Satnam Bhavan in Ward 55 Sector 6 at a cost of Rs 49.99 lakhs.
