Rajbhasha Month concludes at Ferro Scrap Nigam Limited

Bhilai, Oct 02: The month long Rajbhasha (Official Language) celebrations concluded with a Hindi Speech competition at the mini auditorium of Ferro Scrap Nigam Limited of FSNL Bhavan, in the presence of Pankaj Tyagi, DGM (P &A) /Law while Dr Sunita Verma, Head of Department (Hindi), Swami Shri Swaroopanand Saraswati Mahavidyalaya; Pratika Gargav Sakalle, Official Language Officer, Bank of Baroda, Regional Office, Bhilai; Shahin Qureshi, Branch Manager, Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank, Durg; special invitee poet Kishore Tiwari, Bhilai Steel Plant and FSNL Rajbhasha Officer Chhagan Lal Nagvanshi. At the outset, the guests performed the ritual of lamp lighting before the portrait of Goddess Saraswati.
Pankaj Tyagi in his speech on the topic “Conditions of Women Employees” said that FSNL is committed to provide safe and positive working environment for its employees. Harassment in any form, including sexual, is strictly prohibited in the Company. Every female employee has the right to protection against harassment.
Reflecting on the topics of Hindi speech competition, he said that all the subjects are complimentary to each other. All the participants gave very beautiful speeches. As per the instructions of the Government of India, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Steel, FSNL celebrated Rajbhasha Month. During this period various competitions were organized, in which the employees of all the units including the corporate office participated enthusiastically.
The guests Pratika Gargav Sakalle, Shahin Qureshi spoke on the topic “Aaj ki Bachat – Kal ka Sahara – Hum Hindi me kaam kaise karein” while Dr Sunita Verma spoke on the topic “Hindi aur Hamari Manasikta” and also discharged the role of the jury of the speech competition and announced the results.
Invited poet Kishore Tiwari, who came from Bhilai Steel Plant, garnered a lot of applause by presenting a poetry highlighting the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, the Amrit Mahotsav and Hindi. His melodious poetic lines were thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by the employees of FSNL.
According to the judgement, in the Hindi speaking class first position went to Prashant Kumar Sahu, second- Sunita Pandit, third-Abhishek Singh, consolation-Deepak Tomar, Daman Lal Sahu, Niyaz Akram. In Non-Hindi speaking class, first- Saurabh Tharewal, second-K Girish Kumar, Third-Shilpi Das while consolation went to Satish Sadashiv Mokal. In Bhilai Unit Hindi speaking class the winners were First-Arjun Singh Sahu, Second-Ghanshyam Soni, Third-Ajay Sehgal and Consolation-Komal Prasad, Non-Hindi speaking group First-Bhuneshwar Kutriye, Second-Anil Biswal, III-Lucknu Ram Bawankar, Consolation-Abhishek Rai, Ashok Kumar, Y Vasudev Rao. Pankaj Tyagi felicitated all the guests.
The Personnel and Administration Heads/Unit Heads and employees of Bhilai, Bokaro, Rourkela, Durgapur, Burnpur, Hazira, Hyderabad, Salem units and New Delhi Liaison Office participated online in the ceremony. The vote of thanks as well as the program was conducted by Rajbhasha Officer Chhagan Lal Nagvanshi. The programme ended with national anthem.
