Poster of Chhattisgarh Premier League Cricket Competition released

Last date for registration of players till 30 September

Bhilai, Sep 26: Committed to the all round development of sports and sportspersons in Chhattisgarh, state government is organising new programs and national level competitions in the state to promote sports. In this line, for the second consecutive year, in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh government, professional cricket tournament “Chhattisgarh Premier League CPL-T20” is going to be organised at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium Nava Raipur on the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Giving information, Praveen Jain, state president of the organizer Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee said that the poster of the competition was released at the Chief Minister’s residence by Chaitanya Baghel, son of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Bhilai Nagar MLA Devendra Yadav. He also accepted the ex-officio responsibility of the patron post. Along with this, State Vice President Alok Thakur Durg, (Rural) District President Mohd Rizwan, Congress Sports Cell Bhilai City District President Sumit Singh, informed that applications from the corporate world for sponsorship was open till September 26 and the last date for registration of players is September 30, 2022. From November 5, a camp will be organized for the players at Riyaz Ground, Chhedikhedi, Raipur, where various level competitions will be organized among the selected players by taking trials of the players. On the basis of performance, on December 04, the selected players will be divided into 8 teams of Durg, Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Bastar, Raipur, Bilaspur, Korba and Surguja through auction. Thereafter the teams will participate in the CPL -T20 Chhattisgarh Premiere League cricket competition to be organised from December 10, 2022 to January 15, 2023.
