Online training programme created in-house at BMDC

Bhilai, Jan 29: In view of COVID-19, all mandatory training programs being conducted by SAIL’s  MTI, Ranchi had come to a halt. These training programs were also necessary as per the New EPMS for nominated executives to attend. MTI in association with HRD departments of all SAIL plants and units has been conducting online training programs through its e-Abhigyan portal since December 2020. As nominated executives were finding it inconvenient to attend these online training programs from their workplace, a facility was created in-house at BMDC. Four PCs with webcams and one LCD projector have been set up in the BMDC Library Room from where executives in the E5 to E7 grades are attending the mandatory online training programs. It may be noted that since September 2020, the HRDC Video-Conferencing (Polycom) Facility is being used for the Preventive Vigilance training programs for frontline and middle-level executives in blended mode. The MODEX Training Lab at HRDC has also provided a platform for participants to attend online training programs through MS-Teams digital platform earlier.
