Maha Ashtami celebrated with devotional fervour

Bhilai, Oct 03: The denizens are celebrating the festival of Navaratri with great enthusiasm and devotion. Devotees are observing fast and are participating in the religious rituals being organised at temples and Kalibaris of the city.

The Maha Ashtami puja was conducted in a devotional mood at the Kalibaris. At Nehru Nagar, the rituals were conducted by the priests Paritosh Mishra and Parichay Mishra. Devotees attended the Maha Ashtami Puja which began at 08:30 hrs followed by Pushpanjali during 10:30 hrs to 11:30 hrs. Sandhi Puja, Pushpanjali and Aarti were held in the evening. Debabrata Chakraborty, DK Roy, AK Dutta, Gopa Koley, Sumit Sikder, Sandeep Saha, Rajesh Singh, Pranab Roy, Dibyendu Sarkhel, Johar Dey and other office bearers of the committee are making appreciable efforts for successful conduct of the Durga Puja.
