Facilities to be improved at SAGES Sector 6

Bhilai, Oct 12: Government primary School situated in Sector 6 was the first school in the city which was upgraded to Swami Atmanand English Medium School (SAGES) Sector 06. The teaching in English medium has been started here. Considering the need for good environment and facilities for studies, Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure had sanctioned some funds so that the school can be upgraded with better infrastructure and facilities for the students.
To assess the progress, Bhilai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prakash Surve inspected the English medium school of Sector 06. The drawing / layout design was sought from the officials on the spot and he closely observed all the works being done here. He reached all the places and took stock of the development works being done in the school. He said that work should be done on time and quality should also be taken care of. It is noteworthy that Bhilai Municipal Corporation is trying to provide good facilities in Government English Medium School as per the intention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The students will get a favourable environment for studies. During the Commissioner’s inspection, Executive Engineer DK Verma, Assistant Engineer RS Rajput, in-charge assistant engineer Wasim Khan and deputy engineer Shweta Maheshwar were present along with others. Construction of boundary wall, lab maintenance work, library and building maintenance work has been completed in the school. The works in progress include the construction of additional room, Dome shed has been constructed up to 60 percent, internal painting and lighting work are almost 90 percent complete, construction of additional room on the first floor and toilet construction work, toilet maintenance and room maintenance are almost 60 percent complete.
Other development works including sports facilities will be done at a cost of 80 lakhs. In this, maintenance of the roof of the school, construction of 3 additional rooms, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, putty painting, front view, entrance, lighting, wall art, land levelling and attractive gardening will be done. Deputy Engineer Shweta Maheshwar said that this work is under departmental process and work order will be issued soon.
