Bhilai, Dec 18: A photo exhibition showcasing the achievements of Congress State Government in Chhattisgarh attracted people at the Rajendra Park in Durg. The event was organised by the Department of Public Relations. Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu graced the inauguration function as chief guest.
The exhibition focussed on the state government’s initiatives for the development and welfare of every section of the society. The exhibition also shed light on the public welfare schemes and innovative policies of the state government that have brought a big change in the society.
On completion of three years of Congress Government, the exhibition was organized by the District Public Relations Department. Addressing the gathering, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said that the government has made several achievements in the last three years and have fulfilled most of the promises made in the election manifesto.
He highlighted the state government’s brave decisions including loan waiver of the farmers, providing Minimum Support Price of agriculture produce, improvement of infrastructure in every sector, etc. Sahu said that the government has increased public concern in every area.
He said that state government is committed to promote civic amenities. Work has been done to promote rural development through Godhan Nyay Yojana and other schemes.
MLA Arun Vora and Mayor Dheeraj Bakliwal also visited the exhibition. In his address, Arun Vora said that important achievements of the government have been displayed in the exhibition put up by the Public Relations Department.
Many works have been done over the last three years. Glimpses of the selected achievements have been displayed here. The exhibition will surely be useful to the people. He said that along with the exhibition, publicity material is also being distributed to the people.
Information about welfare schemes of the government is also being provided to the visitors. It will definitely help in increasing the awareness among the people.
Mayor Dheeraj Bakliwal said that the exhibition will definitely be useful to the people. Through this exhibition, more and more people will be able to get information about public welfare schemes.
A large number of people visited the exhibition. People stated that appreciable works have been done by the Chhattisgarh government, which have been shown in a very beautiful way. Former Mayor RN Verma also visited the exhibition.
Additional Collector Padmini Bhoi, SDM Vinay Poyam, Saurabh Sharma (Public Relations Officer), R Natesh, Pradeep Singh Kanwar, Hemlal Prabhakar and other officials were present on the occasion.
