Cyber Cell recovers 112 nos lost mobile phones

Bhilai, Mar 25: Cyber cell of Durg Police has traced and recovered 112 nos lost mobile phones. Total value of the recovered mobile phones is around Rs 20 lakhs. The mobile phone sets have been handed over to the actual owners.
While addressing media persons here at Police Control Room, IG Vivekanand Sinha informed that they are regularly getting complaints regarding missing mobile phones in the district. The victims were also requesting the Police Department to search and find the lost phones. Considering the situation, Cyber Cell of Durg Police started tracing the lost mobile phones under the supervision of SP Prashant Thakur, ASP (City) Rohit Jha and DSP (Crime) Praveer Chandra Tiwari. The special team of Cyber Cell has managed to search the lost mobiles and thereafter the devices were handed over to the actual owners. As per the instructions of senior officers, the team worked hard and recovered the phones which were lost in the year 2019-2020 and were being used in Durg, Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Balod, Bemetara and Raipur.
Total value of recovered mobile phones is around Rs 20 lakhs. Cyber Cell in-charge Inspector Nareesh Patel, ASI Shamit Mishra, Head Constable Santosh Mishra, Chandrasekhar Banjir, Constable Vikrant Yadu, Vijay Kumar Shukla, Nikhil Sahu, Dinesh Vishwakarma, Suresh Chaubey, Javed Hussain Khan, Abhay Narayan Rai and Aarti Singh played vital role in recovering the lost mobiles.
