Corporation mobile team acts against shops violating lockdown rule

Despite lockdown and instructions to close shops in the city, some people are continuing to flout the lockdown guidelines. The mobile team of Bhilai Municipal Corporation on Thursday raided a supermarket that had opened half the shutter and was selling items. The shop was made to close down immediately and fine was recovered. The Corporation’s mobile team is taking strict action against those who violate the rules in the lockdown. The team has intensified inspection and increased coverage of area and is taking action against the shopkeepers and sellers of goods.
Here it needs a mention that the administration has been appealing to the people that it is necessary follow the lockdown rules to prevent the infection of corona virus from spreading any further and breaking the chain and thereby defeating the disease. On the instructions of the Bhilai commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi, the mobile team is constantly inspecting the corporation area to strictly follow the lockdown. On receiving information about crowd gathering or giving goods anywhere, the team is reaching the spot and taking action. A time has been given till 14:00 hrs to sell fruits and vegetables with the help of vehicle or cart, but action was taken against those selling till late in the evening at Power House Square, Nandini Road, Bapunagar, Kailash Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Sector 01, Sector 02 area and penalty was charged and caution given not to violate the rules again. On Thursday a fine of Rs 3900 was charged from 11 people who violated the rules. It includes Rs 200 from Komal Thakur, Rs 200 from Aslam, Rs 200 from Omprakash, Rs 400 from Rinku, Rs 200 from Umesh Sahu, Rs 100 from Radhe, Rs 100 from Golu, Rs 100 from Vaibhav, Rs 200 from Ramlal Sonkar and a fine of 2000 was imposed on Super Bazar.
