Cops felicitate girls on International Daughters Day

Bhilai, Sep 27: The community policing initiative “police choupal” is getting tremendous response from the villagers. Under the directions of Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police (Durg) Badri Narayan Meena, ‘Police Choupal’ is being organized regularly in different villages to establish cordial relations with the public in rural areas. Efforts are being made to redress the grievances of the public in the presence of women and villagers. The villagers are being appraised about cybercrime, ATM fraud, domestic violence, online fraud, traffic rules, etc. They are being suggested for not sharing any kind of personal information to unknown people. Villagers are actively participating in these events.
On Sunday, through the Police Choupal campaign, the importance of daughters in the society was discussed by the cops with the villagers. Cops felicitated the daughters present in the choupals on the occasion of International Daughters Day. In the discussion, the girls and their family members were made aware about various issues by the Raksha Team. The girls were explained about their expected response in case of any emergency.
Police Choupal was organized by Chowki Machandur at Village Pauwara; Ranitarai Police Station organised choupals at Village Kauhi and Asoga; Chowki Litiya Semariya organised choupal at village Aarsi; and Patan Police Station hosted choupal at village Gujara and Pandar.
