Collector inspects flyovers; instructs to complete work within time frame

Bhilai, Sep 22: Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure again visited the flyover construction site on National Highway at Kumhari on Wednesday. He inspected the progress of construction work here.
He said that during the last visit, the NH officials had fixed that the over bridge will be opened for small vehicles by October 15 and by November 15 for the heavy vehicle movement. The work should be completed in this time frame in any situation, Collector said.
He analysed the manpower at the workplace and gave instructions to increase the manpower. He added that this work is related to civic amenities and is being done on the busiest road due to which people have to deal with problems every day.
In such a situation, this work has to be completed as early as possible utilising the full resources and with fine monitoring. Every single day is extremely important in this task. He also directed the officials of NH to keep him updated with the progress on a daily basis.
Collector also took information from the officials of NH about the action taken on the compliance of the instructions given during the last inspection. He said that all the roads which are under maintenance should be monitored regularly. There should not be any potholes on the road.
The patch work should also be done with quality so that people do not face any kind of problem. SDM Brijesh Kshatriya and other officers were present.
