BSP gives recognition to Bhilai Ispat Mazdoor Sangh

Bhilai, Sep 26: Chief Labour Commissioner from Central Labour Ministry, New Delhi has issued instructions to give recognition to Bhilai Ispat Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) for a period of two years on behalf of the Union Ministry of Labour. The letter of recognition on behalf of SAIL- Bhilai Steel Plant was given by Anirban Dasgupta, Director-Incharge, (Bhilai Steel Plant) on Monday in the Director-in-Charge’s Conference hall at Ispat Bhavan.
Anirban Dasgupta, Director Incharge (Bhilai Steel Plant), while addressing the members of Apex Committee of BMS, conveyed his greetings and best wishes to them and assured that communication between the Management and the Union would be improved further. He urged the Union to cooperate with the Management for the betterment of the Plant. Dasgupta urged on adopting safe working practices, adding that all the Unions should motivate the regular workers and contract workers to get the Booster dose of Covid 19. He requested them to work in unison in every challenge and work with dedication for the development and upliftment of Bhilai Steel Plant.
Ravi Shankar Singh, General Secretary on behalf of BMS, assured the management of cooperation from the Union and that BMS would work within dedication and commitment following discipline. We will apprise the management of employee’s needs from time to time, he added. We will bring forth information on time and apprise about their legitimate demands.
AK Bhatta, Executive Director (Materials Management) Anjani Kumar, Executive Director (Works), MM Gadre, Executive Director (Personnel & Administration), Dr AK Panda, Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) Ashok Kumar, Acting, Executive Director (Projects), Dr M Ravindranath, CMO I/c (M & HS, Nisha Soni, Chief General Manager (Personnel), Sheeja P Mathew, General Manager (Personnel-Works), JN Thakur, General Manager (Industrial Relations and CLC) and other officials were present on this occasion. Indramani Mishra, President of Bhilai Ispat Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), Chenna Keshavalu , Acting President, Ravi Shankar Singh, General Secretary and members of Apex Committee of the Union were present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that for the determination of recognized union in Bhilai Steel Plant, the membership of unions was verified on July 30, 2022 under the supervision of Union Ministry of Labour, by the process of Secret Ballot. The polling details were sent to the Ministry by Deputy Labour Commissioner, Central Raipur. After completing the entire process, the Chief Labour Commissioner, Central New Delhi, on behalf of the Union Labour Ministry, has issued instructions to grant recognition to Bhilai Ispat Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) for a period of two years.
