Bouddha Mela draws huge crowd in Urla

Bhilai, Dec 18: State level Bouddha Mela and the tenth foundation day of Panchsheel Bouddha Vihar was celebrated in Ambedkar Nagar, Urla, Durg. The event attracted huge crowd from various parts of the state. Veteran Ambedkarite and Chief Minister’s father – Nand Kumar Baghel was the chief guest.
Senior Bureaucrat Dilip Wasnikar, SC / ST SAIL Federation Chairman Sunil Ramteke, Additional Chief Medical Officer (JLNH, Sector 9) Dr Uday Dhabarde, Panther Army President Anil Gajbhiye and social worker Shyamkar were present as special guests.
President Bablu Yogendra Choure provided a platform for children’s dance and drama to develop the talent of the children of Ambedkar Nagar. The performance of the play on the life of Babasaheb and the compassionate voice of Ayushmati Savita Buddha made the audience emotional. Their presentation received huge applause.
Later, an exciting Qawwali competition was held between Sushil Saddharmi of Bhandara Maharashtra and Vaishali Kiran of Mumbai. This contest continued till 04:00 hrs in the morning. During this event, food was arrangement was made by Arvind Pratima Chauhan, a resident of Rishabh Nagar. Prerna Dhabarde distributed the prizes among the winners and talents.
Samata Suraksha Sena organised a medical camp and conducted health check up of the people. All the members including Kamlesh Choure, Vijay Borkar, Mahendra Patel, Yogesh Khandekar, Ravikant Bhorjar, Jitendra Madame and Bhim Jyoti Mahila Samiti President Tanuja Wasnik extended valuable contributions in making the program successful.
