Bhilai Maitri College celebrates International Charity Day

Bhilai, Sep 06: Bhilai Maitri College celebrated International Charity Day by organising an event at village Thanoud, Durg. This event was focussed on spreading awareness on health and instilling positive attitude and importance of maintaining hygiene among women. Chief Guest of the social event organised at Government Higher Secondary School was Dr Manasi Gulati, a well known gynaecologist having 22 years of experience in medical field. A recipient of young doctor award, Mahila Sashaktikaran award and many awards for social services, Dr Gulati shared knowledge and information with women and young girls of village regarding menstruation and breast cancer. Sanitary pads and masks were also distributed. Contribution of Gram Thanoud Sarpanch Jageshwari Deshmukh, Principal Bani Pal and alumni of Bhilai Maitri College Pankaj Kumar was commendable. Dr Surekha Vinod Patil, Principal, Bhilai Maitri College congratulated assistant professor Dr Beena Sajeev, Dr Prabha Kurup, Swapna Anil and Nutan Dubey for the success of the event.
