Abhivyakti: All Women General Parade held on IWD

Bhilai, Mar 10: As per the instructions of IGP DM Awasthi, various initiatives are being taken by Durg Police in honour of the female officers / personnel under the Abhivyakti programme. In this sequel, under the directions of IGP Vivekanand and SP Prashant Thakur, an All Women General Parade was organised at Police Lines on the eve of International Women’s Day. ASP (Rural) PraggyaMeshram took salute of the parade which was led by Dr Chitra Verma (Probationary DSP) and participated by a total of 127 officers / personnel from various Police Stations / Chowkis / Branches of Durg Police.
At the outset, ASP PraggyaMeshram inspected the uniform / turnout of the police this was followed by squad drill. Female officers / personnel presented an attractive parade. This event exhibited the women empowerment and fulfilled the objectives of better policing. It also disclosed the significant role being played by the female cops in maintaining law and order.
After the parade, a meeting of the woman officers / personnel was organised at the Administrative Block of Police Lines. ASP PraggyaMeshram and other officers highlighted the role of women in every sphere of life and emphasised on the significance of Women Empowerment. They stated that women cops deliver their duties towards the department and society with dedication and commitment and at the same time they fulfil their responsibilities towards their family. ASP Praggya appreciated the officers and personnel for presenting an attractive parade and hoped that they will work with better coordination for effective crime control, prevention and maintaining law and order and peace in the society. Reserve Inspector Nilesh Dwivedi played a vital role in organising the event.
