Special vaccination camp held for Divyangs

Bhilai, May 30: Considering the importance of inoculating all the people for prevention of Coronavirus infection, a special vaccination camp was organised for the Divyangs by the Department of Social Welfare under the directions and guidance of District and Sessions Judge Rajesh Srivastava (Chairman, District Legal Services Authority). The camp was held on Sunday.
District Legal Services Authority identified the Divyangs who had not received the vaccine shots and they were urged to get vaccinated. The identified people were taken to the vaccination centre in Supela and then dropped back to their residences.
Vehicles were arranged for conveyance of the Divyangs. Disabled persons are often deprived of vaccination due to lack of information or lack of means. District Legal Services Authority is going to organize awareness programmes in this regard and people will be educated for vaccination especially in rural areas.
Government of India is taking all necessary steps to deal with the challenges and threat posed by the coronavirus pandemic. By carefully and properly following the information and advice provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the local spread of the virus can be prevented.
Vaccines are used as a protective cover against diseases. Vaccines produce antibodies to develop immunity against diseases in the body. They destroy the micro-organisms produced in the body and can prevent diseases.
The beneficiaries were asked to follow the covid appropriate behaviour, wear masks and maintain social distance even after getting the vaccine.
