Two arrested with stolen scooters

Bhilai, Sep 21: Police have arrested two ruffians with stolen scooters. The accused had lifted these vehicles from the Supela area. They had formed a gang to commit vehicle thefts. Inspector Suresh Dhruva (SHO, Supela) informed that on the directives of SSP Badri Narayan Meena, ASP (City) Sanjay Dhruw and CSP (Bhilai) Rakesh Joshi, the team of Supela Police Station is maintaining vigil on the activities of suspects and criminal record holders. The network of informers has also been activated for the purpose. In this sequel, police received a tip off regarding a habitual bike lifter. Acting on this tip off, the police team swung into action and the suspect Naveen Nishad was taken into custody. During interrogation, he confessed to have stolen two nos scooters with the help of his accomplice Vishal Brijwani of Raipur. The stolen vehicles including a Honda Activa and Hero Pleasure were recovered from Nehru Nagar, Bhilai and Tikrapara, Raipur.
The accused Naveen Nishad alias Bablu (18) son of Ramesh Kumar Nishad a resident Kosa Nagar, Supela and Vishal Brijwani alias Deenu (21) son of Kanhaiyya Lal a resident of Gokul Nagar, Raipur have been booked under the provisions mentioned in sections 41 (1+4) of CrPC and Section 379 of IPC. The accused Naveen Nishad is accused in several cases of thefts while Vishal is a notorious offender. Inspector Suresh Dhruva, ASI RK Diwan, Head Constable Santosh Sharma, Constable Surendra Patel, Ajeet Singh, Rajneesh Tiwari, Surendra Giri and Kapil played a vital role in arresting the accused.
