Trapped construction labour rescued

Bhilai, Mar 19: A construction labour was trapped in an under-maintenance building at Madhuban Nagar of Borsi on Friday. A joint team of District Police and NDRF conducted rescue operations for about three hours to save the life of construction labour.
According to information, the construction labour Anil Tondon (25) a resident of village Gadadeeh has suffered minor injuries and has been admitted in the District Hospital.
Padmanabhpur Chowki I/c Pramod Srivastava informed that the incident occurred at the house of one Neeraj Martin situated in Street 5, Madhuban Nagar, Borsi.
The labour was deployed on the task of demolishing the first floor of the building. In the meanwhile, a large concrete structure collapsed and Anil Tondon got trapped beneath it.
Fellow workers raised an alarm after which the Police team reached the spot. Rescue operations continued for about three hours to save the trapped labour. He has been admitted to the district hospital.
