Bhilai, Jun 16: An urgent meeting of Bhilai Ancillary Association was held at BEW on Monday. The industrialists expressed anger over the delay in providing work to ancillary industries by BSP. Due to this delay, 80% of the industries have been shut down.
The industrialists openly alleged this delay is being deliberately done under a conspiracy so that work to be given to the industries located in other areas. They asserted that the ill intentions of BSP management are clear as it wants the ancillary industry to be completely closed. A tense situation was created in the meeting due to the attitude of BSP management.
Association President Arvinder Singh Khurana chaired the meeting which was attended by General Secretary Charanjit Singh Khurana, Vice Presidents Ashutosh Tiwari and Vyas Prasad Shukla, Patrons Chaman Lal Bansal and JK Jain along with RK Singh, Anil Gupta, Simranjit Singh Khurana, Deshraj Yadav, Ravi Shankar Mishra, Kishan Agarwal, Suresh Gupta, Anil Shukla, D Ramaswamy, Kanwaljit Singh, Gagandeep Singh and others.
President Khurana said that the 80% of the industries have been closed under the conspiracy of BSP because there is no 5 AT supply and 5 AT supply will happen only when DP extension is available. But for the last three months, neither DP extension is being given nor goods are being taken. Had the industries got DP extension, they would have been free from the bondage of 5 ATs. Inquiry was closed due to the rule of 5 AT, due to which about 80% to 90% of the ancillary industries have become blacklisted.
Most of the office bearers of the Association had only one allegation that the BSP management was deliberately delaying the work. Despite the crisis, BSP is not doing anything for the ancillaries. The orders that have been given are worthless. On the other hand, the payment of labour, electricity and government payments have all come to a standstill. Goods are not being supplied to BSP because the rate has been increased unexpectedly.
General Secretary Charanjit Singh Khurana said that even after two and a half months no decision has been taken on the DP. There is no clear policy of BSP regarding what to provide, when to provide and what to do. The officials have folded the DP extension files and kept it in the purchase department. On questioning, the only answer is that it has been sent from the department to the shop and clearance not received from shop.
Vice President Tiwari said that it appears that the BSP wants the ancillary industry to be closed anyhow. Due to such unfair working on the part of BSP management, there is widespread resentment in the industrial sector. The situation is tense and unpleasant incidents can happen in industries any moment.
When the situation became very tense during the meeting, one of the members RK Singh suggested contacting MSME Association President KK Jha as he remained the President of Ancillary Industries Association for long time. Considering his suggestion, some office bearers and members of the Association later paid a visit to KK Jha, President of MSME Association. They shared their problems with him in a cordial atmosphere. Patron Bansal told that for the last five years a unit is not getting work because credential is not being created, whereas, the unit has been supplying goods for the last 20 years. Other similar problems were also shared with him.
Jha asked the delegates to maintain peace and advised them not to take any such step which may have adverse effect on the plant and on the mental state of the industrialists. He suggested them for not opposing the original association under any circumstances. The situation is serious. Raise the points in front of them and cooperate. The demands can be raised jointly.
Jha suggested them for not erasing someone’s line and rather increase your line. Talks can be conducted with BSP management to resolve the problems. Hope the management will solve it very soon. He added that the demands are right and just. Jha said that the BSP management is very serious, especially the Director-in-Charge Anirban Dasgupta.
He considers Ancillaries as a family. Recently, in a meeting with SAIL Chairman Soma Mandal, he has also sought a suggestion letter to take forward the ancillaries. “We will meet soon with management and forward a suggestion letter. Hope the problem will get resolved soon”, Jha assured the industrialists.
