Cyber Cell recovers lost mobile phones worth Rs 15 lakh

Bhilai, Aug 19: Various Police Stations of the district had been receiving complaints regarding lost mobile phones. All the FIRs regarding missing mobile phones were being sent to the Cyber Cell by the Police Stations. Considering the large number of missing complaints, Superintendent of Police (Durg) Prashant Agrawal directed the Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Dhruv to look into the matter and constituted a special team of Cyber Cell to recover the lost mobile phones.
As per the instructions of the senior officers, Cyber Cell took action on the applications related to the missing mobiles and managed to recover a total of 105 nos mobiles of different companies which were being used in various areas of Durg, Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Balod, Bemetara and Raipur.
With sustained efforts, hard work and dedication, the Cyber Cell managed to recover the lost mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees. The recovered mobile phones are being duly distributed to the concerned applicants / complainants. On Thursday, SP Prashant Agrawal distributed the recovered mobile phones to the concerned owners.
Inspector Naresh Patel, Inspector Gaurav Tiwari, ASI Shamit Mishra, Head Constable Santosh Mishra, Chandrashekhar Banjeer, Constable Vikrant Yadu, Vijay Kumar Shukla, Nikhil Sahu, Dinesh Vishwakarma, Suresh Choubey, Javed Hussain Khan, Abhay Narayan Rai, Suraj Pandey, Ravi Bisai, Upendra Yadav, Anoop Sharma, Driver Constable Dinesh Verma and Constable Aarti Singh played a vital role in recovering the mobile phones.
