Teachers’ day celebrated with zeal at SSV, Sector -10

Bhilai, Sep 05: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm at Sri Sankara Vidyalaya, Sec-10 on Sunday. V Ramachandran, President, SSES, S Swaminathan, Secretary, SSES, and Uma Pandey, Executive Member, SSES graced the occasion.
The programme started with lighting of the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Goddess Saraswati, His Holiness Jagatguru Sri Adi Sankaracharya Swamigal and Dr S Radhakrishnan.
In his welcome address, Bipin Deshmukh, Principal, recalled the values and ideologies of the great teachers of our nation. He stressed on creating high moral character in the children.
Teacher representatives, S Soujanya and Jyotsna Nayak, drew the attention of the audience towards the role played by teachers in a young nation like ours. S Swaminathan, in his address, paid rich tributes to all teachers who made a difference in his life.
He also opined that every action of a teacher directly or indirectly has a deep impact on the children. V Ramachandran appreciated the efforts of the teachers during the current pandemic and suggested to inculcate moral values in the young minds.
Mementos were presented to the guests by the Principal. Highlight of the day’s function was the group songs by the teaching staff. The programme was ably conducted by Anita Verma and Kavita Sareen proposed the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end with the national anthem.
