IGP holds Jandarshan; takes immediate action on complaints

Bhilai, Nov 27: On Saturday, IGP (Durg Range) Om Prakash Pal conducted Jandarshan at his office situated in 32-Bulgalows. A total of 40 applications were submitted during Jandarshan in which people shared their problems and sought appropriate action.
In most of the cases, IGP instructed the concerned officials on telephone to take immediate action. One of the applicants had come with a serious criminal case. Accordingly, IGP called in the SHO of Mohan Nagar Police Station and heard the matter in his presence. IGP directed the SHO to constitute a special team for investigation over the complaint and take appropriate action.
In another case, a retired BSP employee complained that he was not getting pension in his SBI Saving Account. Further, his account was transferred to Kampti Branch of SBI without any reason.
Though the complaint was not related to Police Department, but adopting a sensitive approach IGP took cognizance over the complaint and discussed the issue with SBI officials and asked him to resolve the problem.
Another applicant had come with the complaint of heavy traffic pressure at Boria Gate during 07:00 hrs to 10:00 hrs. IGP immediately directed DSP (Traffic) Kavilash Tondon to conduct inspection at the site and make appropriate arrangements for ensuring congestion free traffic movement.
Some other applications were related to Revenue and other departments. IGP asked the applicants to approach the concerned authorities with their complaints. IGP will regularly monitor the proceedings and development on the applications received at Jandarshan.
