Six new English medium schools to start this session

Bhilai, May 29: With infrastructure like private schools and with the objective of imparting better education, Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools are being established. In the last academic session, ten such schools were functional in the district.
This year, six new schools will start functioning raising the number of schools to 16 in the district. The schools are being upgraded to prepare for the new session and additional rooms are also being constructed as per the requirements.
Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure took stock of the situation by inspecting the schools of Patan Block on Saturday where English Medium Schools are to be started from this session.
Collector visited the schools of Selud, Jamgaon R, Jamgaon M and Ranitarai. He suggested updating the infrastructure. Collector asked to follow the last year’s strategy to prepare the schools in the expected manner.
He said that if additional rooms are required, the plan can be prepared accordingly. Children should also work for playgrounds, sports corners etc so that the overall development of the personality of the children can be ensured.
Apart from this, there should also be better arrangement of Science Laboratory for students with larger class rooms. The library should be well ventilated, having adequate seating and study facilities.
The selection of books should be good so that the interest of children could be developed in reading which would ultimately improve their knowledge. He also sought information about the status of admissions from the DEO Pravas Singh Baghel.
Collector told the Principals to suggest better innovative ideas. He asked them to discuss the issues with the civil engineer and plan accordingly.
“Our aim is to make the best education available to children”, he said. Additional Collector Richa Prakash Chaudhary, District Panchayat CEO Sachchidanand Alok, Assistant Collector Hemant Nandanwar and other officials were present.
DEO Pravas Singh Baghel said that the admission of children has been very good in the last session. More than 500 students are studying in every school. Teachers have been specially appointed to provide quality education.
Regarding completion of syllabus, there is constant review of the children to form a strategy for better coordination through new medium and it is yielding good results, Baghel said.
