‘Aware campaign’ gives momentum to development of children in Corona period

Konta, May 21: The initial seven-eight years of their life are very important in the development of children. On 22 March last year, due to Covid across the country, the announcement of lock down resulted in the closure of Anganwadi in the state and all such institutions where children get opportunities to learn and learn. Older, children all locked up in homes.
It was difficult to estimate how long this situation would last. But this time was very important for children. Now there was only one way for children to know and understand, their parents who were with them. The vigilance program in this critical period of the Corona period did not block the pace of children’s development. Under this program, the Center for Learning Resources (CLR), a social service organization with the Department of Women and Child Development, in collaboration with UNICEF, produced short audio messages based on the essential issues related to the upbringing of children. Anganwadi workers reached families with whom they were provided and the necessary information was provided to them.
A message of about five minutes based on any one important information every fifteen days is CLR. These messages are sent to the Program Officers of all the districts by the Directorate of Women and Child Development through WhatsApp, which they send to their CDPOs and then all CDPOs to their supervisors. Supervisors send messages to Anganwadi workers.

District Women and Child Development Officer Atul Parihar said that despite the lack of mobile, network and most of the workers in Sukma district, the Sector Supervisor discussed the meeting and shared a common understanding of the message. The Department of Women and Child Development did not just do the work of forwarding the messages but heard it itself, understood it and then explained it to the parents. After reaching the program officers of the message district from the Directorate, the work of making an in-depth understanding of what was said in the message was done through organizing an online chapel at the divisional level. In this way, the people of the staff are able to learn from each other’s experience through online chappals at all levels and prepare the understanding of the worker so that he can explain things to the parents well.
During distribution of nutritious food, Anganwadi workers go to the homes of the parents and narrate these messages to them and explain the important things. The activists meet and discuss with the parents to explain the messages in their own language. Along with this, messages are sent through the group of parents who have facilities like smartphones and WhatsApp.
One year completed on vigilant campaign. A vigilance program was launched by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in April last year on the digital platform in the state of Chhattisgarh so that the process of child development could continue continuously even in the event of Corona epidemic.
