SP asks SHOs to dispose-off pending cases

Bhilai, Mar 06: Police Superintendent Prashant Thakur chaired a meeting of the gazetted police officers of the district at Police Control Room, Sector 6. He directed the SHOs to dispose off the pending cases at its earliest.
He further directed them to handle the cases of crime against women & children in a sensitive manner and produce the charge sheets in shortest possible time. The pending complaints should be resolved within time frame.
SP Thakur reviewed the status of case pendency at all the police stations and chowkis. He expressed ire on some SHOs due to higher number of pending cases. He directed the SHOs to take action against the habitual offenders under the prohibitory sections of IPC. He further asked the police officers to put an effective check on the illegal activities like betting, gambling, bootlegging, etc. Strict action must be taken against the people involved in such activities.
In view of upcoming holi festival, SP asked the cops to identify the trouble makers, prepare list, maintain vigil and take necessary action against them. ASP (City) Rohit Kumar Jha, CSP (Bhilai) Rakesh Joshi, CSP (Chhawani) Vishwas Chandrakar, DSP (Crime) Praveer Chandra Tiwari and SHOs of all the police stations and chowkis were present.
