Stolen wire-laden truck recovered within 24 hours

Bhilai, Sep 12: A truck loaded with HB Wires was stolen by unidentified thieves from Hathkhoj Engineering Park. Police managed to recover this stolen truck within 24 hours. However, the thieves managed to escape. Police are trying to trace the unidentified thieves. CSP (Chhawani) Vishwas Chandrakar informed that on Sep 11, one Lav Kkumar Yadav of Khursipar lodged a complaint at Khursipar Police Station regarding theft of his truck. Yadav’s truck bearing registration number CG07-C-4477 was loaded with 20.54 tonnes of HB Wire. Driver had parked the vehicle near Avanta Engineering Company in the Hathkhoj Engineering Park on Sep 10. When he returned on Sep 11, he found that the vehicle was missing.
On the instructions of SP Badri Narayan Meena, Khursipar Police launched investigations and examined several footages of CCTV cameras installed in the city. Police of the neighbouring districts were also alerted after which barricading was done in the direction in which the vehicle was seen moving.
The unidentified thieves came under pressure due to increased police movement. Possibly they had no way to escape due to increased police presence so they left the vehicle at a lonely place in Raipur and escaped. Police have recovered the stolen vehicle along with the loaded consignment of wires total worth Rs 20 lakhs. A case has been lodged against the unidentified thieves under section 379 of IPC. Patrolling Team members including ASI Rajesh Pandey, Constable Rakesh Singh, Sandeep Singh, Krishna Singh, Vijay Singh, Arvind Medhe and Civil Team members Constable Rinku Soni, Satyendra Madharia and Arvind Singh played vital role in recovering the stolen truck.
