SP conducts surprise inspection; leads vehicle checking drive

Bhilai, Sep 18: On Saturday, Superintendent of Police (Durg) accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police (City) and City Superintendent of Police (Durg) conducted a surprise inspection of Padmanabhpur Chowki. He reviewed the pending cases in the presence of newly posted chowki in-charge and all the investigation officers. After reviewing the cases, he directed to dispose of all the pending cases at the earliest and take action against the offenders involved in violations of Excise Act, NDPS Act, Gambling Act, etc. He further asked the cops to take action against the suspects and persons of criminal tendency. The cops were asked to take maximum preventive action against the goons and miscreants.

After inspection, SP, ASP (City), CSP (Durg) and the staff of Chowki conducted a foot flag march in the area to create a sense of security among the general public and set an example of visual policing.

Later, under the leadership of the Superintendent of Police, all the officers and jawans, including traffic cops marched to Jail Triangle and checked all types of vehicles passing through the square from 11:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs. More than 500 two-wheeler riders were advised to wear helmets and four-wheelers drivers to wear seat belts. Apart from this, action was taken against 20 two-wheelers riders who were riding without helmets and were using earphones.
