Bhilai, Sep 10: Violent clash occurred between two groups in Heavy Industrial Area, Hathkhoj on Saturday. One person was killed and some others suffered injuries in the mishap. After receiving information, a police team swung into action and six out of eight accused were arrested within a few hours.
While addressing media persons here at the Police Control Room, SP Dr Abhishek Pallava informed that a violent clash occurred between two groups in Hathkhoj Industrial Area on Saturday. On information, a team of Old Bhilai Police Station rushed to the spot but all the ruffians involved in the fight had escaped. Soon the cops came to know that one Ashok Soni of Khursipar was killed in this clash.
Taking the matter into serious cognizance, SP Dr Abhishek Pallava instructed his subordinates to immediately trace and arrest the people involved in the crime. On his instructions, different teams of Khursipar and Old Bhilai Police Stations were constituted to collect detailed information about the people involved in the crime. It was discovered that all the ruffians were residents of Khursipar. Four different teams of Police searched the eight accused and managed to arrest six of them within an hour.
Charges have been framed under section 307, 34 of IPC against the accused Datta Pavle alias Arbaz Siddhiqui, Harishankar Yadav alias Jugnu, Happy alias Manjeet Singh, Akash Kaushik and Ashok Soni. Laxmi Narayan Bagh alias Rajendra Singh, Rahul alias Raju, Santosh Srivastava alias Lambu and Sadhu Gyani are accused in a case registered under section 302, 34 of IPC.
