Shyam Dawade inaugurates NDP

Koriya, Sep 15: District Magistrate Shyam Dawade, inaugurated the Nation De-worming Programme (NDP) in the district here, by administrating de-worming drug Albendazole, to children. Present were CMHO Dr Rameshwar Sharma, CEO Zila Panchayat Kunal Dudawat and other health officials during the inaugural ceremony.
Collector Dawade, has requested all guardians and parents of the region of children 1-19 age group, to come forward and make the program a success. It needs a mention here that over 3 lakh, 09 thousand 861 children will benefit from the campaign, which will run across the district from 13-23 September.
Mitanins, Anganwadi workers will administer the drug, in tablet form to children at their respective homes, before screening for any symptoms of seasonal diseases and allergies. According to experts deworming, increases immunological resistance in children and helps fight anemia, and other diseases, leading to malnutrition. The major symptoms of acute worm infection are diarrhea, stomach ache, nausea accompanied with general fatigue.
