Shop Communication forum ‘Sanjeevani’ organised at JLN Hospital & RC

Bhilai, Jul 26: Central Medical Stores (CMS) of SAIL-BSP organised an interaction session with Medical department, under the aegis of it’s communication forum “Sanjeevani” on July 23, 2021 at the Conference Hall of JLN Hospital &RC, Sector 9. The first session of the series of communication forum aims to understand needs and expectations of its stake holders, included doctors from departments of ENT, Ophthalmology and Skin.
On the occasion, first issue of e-publication named “Sanjeevani”, made by CMS was released by Dr SK Issar, ED (M&HS). This e-publication is envisioned to communicate variety of information with it’s stakeholders, useful for better planning, informed decision making and building a strong team. Rakesh, ED(MM) lauded the initiative of the communication forum and said such initiatives will definitely help to meet expectations of Medical department. Rakesh said, this exercise should be continued and more departments should be covered.
Dr SK Issar, ED (M&HS) was the Guest of Honour. Dr Ravindranath M, CMO (JLNH&RC), Dr Pramod Binayke, CMO (JLNH&RC), Tapan Kumar, GM I/c (Purchase) and Rajesh Chawla, GM I/c (Stores) were present during the interaction session. At the outset, Preeti Bhatnagar, GM (Purchase – Medical), CMS, briefed the house about the objective and outline of the program. She also explained how it was conceptualised and its importance in the current times.
In his address to the participants, Dr SK Issar said that the forum is a good beginning and it should be utilised well. Dr Ravindranath, In-Charge, Procurement and Planning said it would definitely yield benefits.
Dr Binayke said it is a welcome gesture and expressed his expectations from such interaction session. Tapan Kumar stressed upon the role of planning in ensuring availability of material. Chawla, Stores In-Charge, shared how maintaining Medicines in Stores is a challenging task.
Medical – Purchase briefed the house about the basic procurement process. Thereafter, issues and requirements by HODs of all the three departments, who were present along with their team members, were discussed in the house with MM team members. Many current issues were also discussed. Action points were drawn by Medical -Purchase to address the concerns.
During the release of ‘Sanjeevini’, KR Parker, CGM (MM) said Communication is the bed rock of any organisation and plays a key role in mutually understanding customer-supplier requirement and meeting customer’s requirement. Parker, lauded the efforts of CMS team and said the team should maintain the rigour while working to meet the needs of Medical department in most efficient way. The program was conducted by Sumanlata, SM (CMS) and Vote of Thanks was proposed by Debashish Palit, Manager (CMS).
