MBVB School celebrates Teacher’s Day

Bhilai, Sep 05: Mar Baselios Vidhya Bhavan School celebrated Teacher’s Day to thank the teaching faculty for the contributions they make to the lives of the students. A cultural extravaganza was organised by the MBVB ians to appreciate the unwavering commitment of the teachers for the mission and vision of this school ‘with a difference’.
Fr Kurian John Vice President of the school was the Chief Guest. Fr George Varughese Vice, Chairman CCET was the guest of honour. The programme started with the singing of the ecstatic invocation song by the teachers in praise of Almighty.
To honour the people who have transformed their lives for the better, the School left no stone unturned to truly entertain them by means of various cultural items. They expressed their gratitude through a speech in English and a poem in Hindi. The compeers reminded teachers of their school days when they as students were taught life skills by their mentors.
The Chief Guest of the function Fr Kurian John was mesmerised with the performance of the teachers and fondly said that the glory of the Guru cannot be written even if the whole earth is transformed into paper, big trees made into pens and the entire water in the seven oceans is transformed into writing ink.
Rev Fr George Varughese congratulated the teachers for inspiring and nurturing the students to march in the right direction. He appreciated their constant endeavour in bringing MBVB School to such a great height. Principal of the school BVK Reddy in his address reminded the teachers of the famous statement of Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai “a child, a teacher, a book and a pen can change the world”. He asked teachers to become that ‘one’ teacher who can change the world.
To recognise the outstanding service rendered to the institution, all staff members were given token gifts. Interesting games were organised for teachers and prizes given to winner.
This was followed by high tea organised by the management. Programme was compeered by Nancy and Priyanka. Welcome speech was delivered by Bindu and vote of thanks was proposed by Jayshree.
