RLAMC celebrates annual function; honours body donors

Bhilai, Feb 15: Rajiv Lochan Ayurvedic Medical College (RLAMC), Chandkhuri recently celebrated its annual function with great enthusiasm. During the function, the college honoured the family members of the people who donated their bodies for medical studies. Senior medical practitioner and social worker Dr Rahul Gulati (Head of Medicine Department, Shri Shankaracharya Medical College) graced the function as Chief Guest. Founder of Pranam Sanstha, Pawan Keshwani presided over the function while Gram Panchayat Chandkhuri Sarpanch Hemlata Suresh Deshmukh was present as special guest.

At the outset, the programme began with lighting lamps and offering prayers to Lord Dhanvantari. The students recited Dhanvantari Vandana. College Management Committee President Prabha Sahu, Managing Director R Sahu and the Principal Dr Vandana Fating welcomed the guests.

The family members of the body donors were especially invited to attend the annual function. They were honored by the College Managing Director and the Guests. University Topper Gold Medalist student Dr Hempushpa Sahu was felicitated. Inter-college games were recently organized by AYUSH University in which the students of RLAMC had won several prizes. In table tennis (girls category) Shruti, Priya Bavre and Shivani Sahu had won the first prize. The table tennis players along with the winners of volleyball girls and boys category were honored with citations and mementos. In the last episode of prize distribution, students who got first and second positions in college sports were honoured. The college students presented colourful and entertaining cultural programs. Dr Leeladhar Sahu compeered the programme while Dr Yogeshwar Pandey proposed the vote of thanks. Dr Dharam Singh Thakur, Dr Rashmi Tiwari, Dr Kusumlata Rathore and Guneshwari Sahu played a vital role in organising the programme.
