Risali Commissioner firm on action against encroachment

Bhilai, Feb 25: On the instructions of Collector Dr Sarweshwar Narendra Bhure for stringent action against illegal constructions and encroachments, the RisaliCommissioner Prakash Kumar Surveis conducting visits in the colonies under the purview of Risali Municipal Corporation. It was during one such visit to the posh colony of Ashish Nagar the other day, that the Commissioner came across a car garage being constructed on the land area meant for road. Irked at the site, the Commissioner instructed the revenue department to get it removed within three days.
It needs a mention here that the RisaliCommissioner is conducting regular visits with his team in the area to understand and provide basic civic amenities like water, electricity and proper drainage system for wastewater. On Wednesday, the officers when on visit to Ward No 24 Ashish Nagar East, at Street No 01 saw the construction of a garage for car on the road. The Commissioner immediately served notice to the person Vidhya Patro and asked him to remove the garage within three days. He instructed the revenue department officials that if the garage is not removed within three days, take action to seize the building material being used to make the garage. Thereafter, the Nodal officer of the corporation Ramakant Sahu, Executive Engineer RK Sahu, Public Relations Officer Shailesh Sahu, Assistant Engineer BK Singh, Deputy Engineer DigeshwariChandrakar, Gopal Sinha, Health Inspector Brijendra Parihar and Revenue Department’s ChhaganSahu completed inspection of the Azad Market area, Ashish Nagar East and Awadhpuri area.
In yet another case, the corporation officials recovered fine of Rs 2000 fine from OH Tiris, a resident of Street No 1 Ashish Nagar for keeping the building material on road. The officials also warned that they should not put the building material on the road again. The denizen was also asked to arrange the bricks, sand, gravel in an orderly manner within 24 hours else the material will be seized.
The Azad market area of Risali Corporation is vulnerable to encroachment. Most of the shopkeepers have put slab on the drainage and extended their shops. Due to this, the drains could not be cleaned and the drains are overflowing. The commissioner directed to issue notice to the shopkeepers to remove the slabs from the drains after conducting a survey in the market area. Also, there are two places in Azad Market area where there borewell in the middle of the drainage. People are using the water from the aforesaid borewell. The commissioner has directed to issue notice to the directors of Suman Hardware and Bhilai Masala Udhyog.
The Risali commissioner after his visits has instructed to take action against the wall erecter over the drain, prepare a survey report to solve the problem of drainage in Avadhpuriarea, repair damaged drains of Ashish Nagar, to get the water from hand pump located at Azad Market tested from PHE laboratory if it becomes dirty, get cleaned the drains in Asish Nagar regularly and big drains at least once in a month and maintain a roster of the same.
