Contract worker supplying materials worth lakhs from his own firm’!

Konta, Jul 18:
A new disclosure has been made in the purchase of furniture and electronics items in the district panchayat office. The firm from which goods worth lakhs are shown to have been purchased is that of David Ekka, a contractual employee working in the District Panchayat. There are repots that funds worth lakhs is being taken by the employee in connivance with the officials by making mother of firm as the supplier. Goods worth about Rs 20 lakhs have been supplied through this firm in the last one year. The surprising thing is that this entire game is going on under the protection of the senior officials of the district panchayat and still no action has been taken over the last one year!
The GST registration of Sukma’s firm CEK Enterprises was done on October 2019. The GST number is 22 ADLPE 8682 2J1Z9 and it is registered with the Commercial Tax Office in the name of the mother of the employee working in the District Panchayat. In just one year, the firm has supplied material worth more than Rs 20 lakhs to the district panchayat. This includes everything from curtains to hardware and electronic materials. Whatever material the firm has supplied to the district panchayat, its price is more than the market price. The authorized proprietor of the firm is Kushal Kumari Ekka, mother of the contractual employee David Ekka, who is currently working as a teacher in a private school. While in government service, a contractual employee has started a new business of material supply and which as per the government rules is strictly prohibited. Shop is not known, supply from home: Neither the shop nor the firm has any address of the firm supplying materials worth lakhs. The address of the firm has been shown as Samrat Nagar Sukma and it is the personal residence of the supplier and the employee. It is clear from this that the supplier does not owns a shop.
The surprising thing is that along with the mobile number of the proprietor, the mobile number of the employee is also mentioned on the letter pad and bill of the firm. As per Store Purchase Rule 4.9, it is mandatory for the supplier to be a business entity, so that it should be clearly mentioned from where the goods are being supplied.
The firm is registered in the name of my family member. The goods have been supplied under the Store Purchase Rule only and which is as per the rules. David Ekka, Contract Worker.
