Four ruffians held for loot

Bhilai, Jul 19: Police have arrested four ruffians on charges of loot. The accused had looted a mobile phone and had abused the complainant Prem Prakash Deshlehre of village Tiloda (Ranchirai, Balod). Inspector Monika Pandey (SHO, Utai) informed that the victim had come to Utai for some personal work and was sitting with his female friend at CISF Ground in Utai.
In the meanwhile, four ruffians reached there on two bikes and looted his mobile phone. When they demanded the bike keys, the victim resisted after which they abused the victim and escaped from the spot. Police conducted an investigation on the complaint and rounded up four suspects. The victim identified them and later the accused also admitted to have committed the crime. The arrested accused are identified as Yashwant sahu (29) son of Baliram Sahu; Govind Raut (24) son of Santosh Raut; Omprakash Dhankar (22) son of Netram Dhankar; and Sanjay Yadav (30) son of Devlal Yadav all residents of Newai Basti.
Police recovered the looted mobile phone worth Rs 12500 from their possession and seized two bikes, which were used in the crime. They have been booked under the provisions of Section 394 of IPC and have been sent to jail on judicial remand. SI Bhupendra Ogre, ASI Rajkumar Deshmukh, Head Constable Ashwini Kumar, Narayan Thakur, Rajkumar Chandra, Constable Mahesh Dewangan, and Kaushalendra Baghel played vital role in arresting the accused.
