Ravindra Choubey performs bhoomipujan for Food Park

Bhilai, Mar 11: Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey performed bhoomipujan for construction of Food Park in village Barhapur of Dhamdha block. Rs 12 crore will be spent here to develop this food park on 22 acres of land. Food processing units will be provided all basic facilities including electricity, water and drainage. Land will be allocated (4 acres and 2 acres) to two units very soon. These units will work on fish food and seeds. Land will be allocated to companies – Vishwanath Agrotech and Nature Wall Biotech.
Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey said that seed grading unit, food processing unit and 2 other units will be established and inaugurated soon. Units of Banana, Papaya, Vegetable, Tomato, etc will also be started soon. These units will get grants and other benefits. They are also making efforts to establish a sugarcane unit in this area. Emphasis is being laid on setting up more agri based units in Dhamdha and Saja areas.
Industry Minister Kavasi Lakhma said that despite the Corona pandemic, there was no disruption in the pace of progress in the state. The industrial policy of the state has been formulated after extensive study of the policies of Maharashtra, Karnataka and other states. The current industrial policy has been prepared by state government officials on the basis of ground reality and actual situation. At present, Chhattisgarh’s policy has proved to be the best industrial policy. He said that ethanol plants will also be started soon. Dhamdha region has very high yield of vegetables and fruits.
With the establishment of Food Park, the farmers will get a reasonable price for the local produce. Proper development of the systematic action plan of the food park will start very soon.
