Control Room set up for Army Recruitment rally

Bhilai, Feb 24: An army recruitment rally is to be organized from March 03-12, 2021 at Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla Stadium in Durg. A control room has been set up at the District Employment Office, Malviya Nagar Durg to facilitate queries regarding this recruitment rally, informed the District Collector, Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure while briefing the media persons on Wednesday.
The Collector, who was accompanied by Col S Ramesh, SM, Director, Army Recruitment Raipur, discussed in detail every aspect of the arrangements made for the successful conduct of the rally. He informed that the army recruitment rally will be conducted with complete transparency, and therefore, the candidates should not pay attention to any kind of rumour.
Dr Bhure further added that the Control Room has been equipped with a 24×7 phone number 0788-2320001 and letter of attendance date has been sent to the candidates, who have be present at the recruitment venue at 24:00 hrs on the appointed date. There will be arrangement of notary and photographer (paid) at the recruitment venue for the candidates. Appropriate parking facility has been arranged at the recruitment site. About 40,000 candidates from across 28 districts are participating and it is expected that about 5000 candidates will present daily for the Recruitment Rally. Arrangement of accommodation and food for the candidates have been made in 11 schools and night shelters of Durg city in case the candidates need to stay.
City bus has been arranged for commuting the candidates from bus stand and railway station. Also, doctors and ambulances will be available during the recruitment rally. The work of barricading, tent etc is being done at Pandit Ravi Shankar Stadium.
Mobile toilets and drinking water facility have been arranged at the venue. Inquiry center has been established both at the bus stand and railway station. With the support extended by the social organisations food will be made available at the venue for the candidates at the lowest rate.
Last but not the least, the Collector mentioned that it will be mandatory for candidates to present with COVID-19 free, asymptomatic certificate generated 48 hours before participation. All information regarding the rally is available on the website of Durg district, durg.gov.in.
