Preparations begin for paddy procurement

Bhilai, Oct 12: Preparations have begun for paddy procurement in the district. Paddy procurement will begin from November 01. On Wednesday, training was given to the managers of 94 procurement centers. Jawahar Verma, Chairman, District Co-operative Bank was also present. Verma asked the committee managers to take care of all possible facilities of the farmers, so that they need not have to wait for long. The token should be distributed on time, along with the basic arrangement like drinking water in the procurement center should be ensured. He said that all possible assistance would be provided by the government to the committee managers for better procurement of paddy. He said that the task of providing gunny bags to the committees and the responsibility of transportation would be done on top priority. Food Controller Dipankar said that in the past also, committee managers have done a good job in Durg district. He urged them to take full care of the convenience of the farmers and deal with the purchases well. Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Awadhesh Mishra said that all arrangements should be made for the purchase of paddy as per the rules of the committee. On this occasion, Hridesh Sharma from District Co-operative Bank and Bhowmik Baghel, DMO were also present.
