Rs 4.5 crore grants approved for eight units

Bhilai, Aug 28: On Saturday, the district level committee approved grants of about Rs 4.5 crore for eight industries to assist them operations. 22 cases were tabled in the meeting of the district level committee, out of which eight industries were found eligible for grant. Those found eligible include industries of fertilizers, engineering parts, mushroom cultivators, bread biscuits etc.
All the cases were discussed in detail in the district level committee meeting. The eligibility criterion includes at least one year operation of the industries. Along with this, conditions related to skilled workers, management and unskilled laborers are also included. The industry must give 33 percent employment to the residents of Chhattisgarh, 50 percent employment to skilled workers and gives employment up to 75 percent to unskilled workers.
Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, while discussing all the cases in detail, instructed the General Manager (Industries) to encourage maximum number of industries in the district under the state’s Industrial Policy.
Collector informed that under the industrial policy of the Chhattisgarh government, various types of assistance are provided by the government for the operation of industries. The officials of the Industries Department should give maximum publicity so that more and more entrepreneurs can take advantage of these schemes.
General Manager (Industries) Simon Ekka informed that information has been given to the entrepreneurs regarding the industrial policy of the State Government.
Information regarding industrial policy has been disseminated through workshops and other ways. Entrepreneurs are coming forward to take advantage of these schemes and a better ecosystem is being created to promote entrepreneurship in Durg district.
