One lynched, 5 injured by mob on theft suspicion

Gourela, Pendra, Marwahi, (GPM), May 29: A case of mob-lynching from Gourela thana area has come to fore and in this two youths from state taking cattle to MP were beaten making them handcuffed and the four others from the family of the youth were also badly beaten using hands, legs and wooden stick and in this due to heavy beating one of the youth died on the spot.
Victims are resident of MP:
In view of this mob-lynching incident, the police showed promptness and strictness and made quite a few arrest based upon suspicion. All the victims are resident of Madhya Pradesh (MP) and after the identification of the accused the police says that they will face strict action. Meanwhile on behalf of the victims, an FIR has been lodged against 20-25 persons including Janpad member Sukhram Bhaina, Sarpanch Purshottam Bhaina, former Sarpanch KK Bhaina, SK Bhaina, DS Baiga, Ramkaran Yadav and others under the case of attempt for murder and scuffle.
Were beaten after locking them inside community building:
Entire case is that of district from Gourela thana as the youths were carrying cattle to MP and both the youth were taken into arrest by local persons of Salheghori jungle and started beating them. The villagers charged the youth that they are smuggling cattle from their village and this news slowly spread to other persons in the village.
Family members also badly beaten:
Both the youth were arrested and put inside the community building and according to victims, the villages reached the building in the morning at 4:00 am and again started beating them. Later the victims gave information about arrest and beating to their family members in MP and after getting this information three persons including one Suraj Singh from their village reached the village Salheghori and even after their reaching the villagers did not cool down. Here the villager were so angry that they came down heavily against Suraj Singh and beat him black and white and it was so lethal that he fell unconscious and died on the spot. Somehow the villagers informed it to the police and the police came to the spot and took away the injured and body of Suraj Singh to Thana.
Condition of two injured serious:
The victims of beating were admitted in the District Hospital and here the condition of one of the injured is reported to be critical. There are signs of injuries on the back and hands, legs of the injured as they were beaten by hands, legs and sticks by the village and they have received some internal injuries as well. Addl. SP Pratibha informed that the police has filed case of attempt for murder and other sections of IPC against 20-25 persons and taken the matter under investigation.
