Pipeline expansion work in Kurud on war footing

Pipeline expansion work is being conducted at Kailash Nagar Kurud under Zone 02, Vaishali Nagar. With summer season coming up the Bhilai Commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi, has instructed the officers to carry out the work of pipeline expansion on a war footing. It is worth mentioning that the pipeline laying work of about 329 kms under first phases of Amrut Mission has been completed. Now the pipeline laying work for the second phase is under way. In this a 5 km long pipeline has been laid at Kailash Nagar Lohia Road Kurud and another 1 km pipeline has been laid in Jawahar Nagar area, further work is in progress. Wherever the work of laying the pipeline has been completed, tap connection is being given in the houses. While giving this information, Executive Engineer of the Water Department, Sanjay Sharma said that 329 km of pipeline has been laid so far. Pipelines have been laid in Newai, Puraina, Dundera, Maroda, Station Maroda, TankiMaroda, Ruabandha, Khamaria, Kurud, Chhawni, Khursipar, Housing Board, Kohka, Radhika Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Smriti Nagar and Mother Teresa Nagar area. Still at some places in the aforesaid area the pipeline has not been done which is being completed now. Work is in progress at Kohka Mangal Bazar, Khamaria, Kurud, Nehru Nagar, Mother Teresa Nagar and Chhawni. The work of laying booster DI pipeline is being done in Mother Teresa Nagar area. Pipeline has been laid for 2 kilometers. The work of laying pipelines is being done continuously in this area. On instructions of the Commissioner, resources have been increased for this task and machines are being used to lay pipeline. The number of employees deployed for work has also been increased.
