Children learn self defence; memorise helpline number

Bhilai, Sep 14: On Wednesday, police conducted an awareness programme for school students at Government Higher Secondary School in Jevra Sirsa. The children were explained about good touch – bad touch, self defence, etc. The cops made them memorise the child helpline number – 1098. Abhivyakti programme was organised at this school under the direction of Superintendent of Police (Durg) Dr Abhishek Pallavs and guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Kumar Dhruv and Additional Superintendent of Police (IUCAW) Meeta Pawar.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (IUCAW) Shilpa Sahu detailed the students about the child helpline number 1098, good touch – bad touch, self defence in times of trouble, etc. She urged the children to stay away from mobiles and concentrate on studies. Short films received from the Police Headquarters were screened through a projector. Assistant Sub-Inspector Sangeeta Mishra (Raksha Team) explained the students and teachers about the short films. She gave detailed information about Abhivyakti App and how to use it in times of distress. Children and teachers downloaded the Abhivyakti App on their mobile phones. Principal, teachers and students attended the programme.
