BMC Zone commissioners conduct morning visits in their respective areas

Bhilai, Jul 16: For prevention of seasonal diseases, redressal of basic problems and continuous monitoring of cleanliness and sanitation in Bhilainagar Municipal Corporation area, the Corporation Commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi has directed all the Zone Commissioners to conduct morning visits. In compliance of which the Zone Commissioners have started conducting visit in their respective areas in the morning.
Nehru Nagar’s Zone Commissioner Manish Gaikwad conducted visit in the area that fall under his zone and checked the cleanliness of the area by visiting in the morning. He gave instructions for lifting of membrane, foil, waste etc lying in the area. He also asked to maintain cleanliness in all the gardens of the zone area. Thereafter, he visited the contractor colony where, while inspecting with the Zone Health Officer, while on the one hand he instructed to maintain cleanliness in the area he also looked into the status of bores and hand pumps.
Vaishali Nagar’s Zone Commissioner Pooja Pillay inspected the ongoing drain cleaning work in the ward and even stood at the site of cleaning and gave necessary instructions.. She instructed the Zone Health Officer to take demolition action against encroachment by constructing slab or ladder on the drain anywhere, so that there should not be a situation of blockage of the drain.
During the inspection, the Zone Commissioner instructed to keep electricity, water and regular cleanliness in the community toilet in Ward 17 Vrindanagar, after which she inspected the dump site. During the morning inspection Preeti Singh, Zone Commissioner of Mother Teresa Nagar, visited the ward along with the team of Health Department to see the works under Dengue Control Campaign.
She observed the work of cleaning the water filled in the coolers, sprinkling of Temiphos, distribution of Temiphos, spraying of malaria oil at the waterlogged places. During this, instructions were given to do door to door garbage collection and cleaning of roads in the morning in the stipulated time. Zone Commissioner Preeti Singh took feedback from the citizens of Ward 21 Adarsh Nagar, Bapu Chowk regarding drinking water, sanitation and Temiphos distribution. She also inspected the Power House vegetable market and asked to maintain cleanliness in the market area in both day and night shifts. During her morning visit, she advised the vegetable vendors not to spread the goods outside the shop in the market and instead keep the goods inside the shop and leave the front of the shop free.
It is worth mentioning that the Collector and Bhilai Corporation Administrator Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure has directed the officers of the Corporation to conduct morning inspection. In this context, on the instructions of the Corporation Commissioner Raghuvanshi, the Zone Commissioners are visiting their respective areas and resolving the problems and complaints related to basic facilities in the field.
